Recommended Car Routes

To make your journey as smooth as possible, we’ve outlined the best driving routes from all directions to Hartington Hills in the Peak District. Whether you’re approaching from the north, south, east, or west, these recommended routes help you avoid narrow country lanes and guide you straight to our doorstep

From the South

From the A515 after Ashbourne do not turn left through Alstonefield - narrow roads; instead, carry on the A515 until you reach Newhaven Services. After the service station, carry on up the hill; at the top there is a left hand turn onto the B5054 towards Hartington. Take this turn and continue through Hartington towards Hulme End. After about 1 mile ignore the first left turn which is a private road to Lower Hurst Farm but take the next left turn over the brow of a hill which is signposted Beresford Dale (easy to miss). Hartington Hills is the first farm and the first driveway on the left.

From the East

From this direction it depends on where you come out on the A515. If you come through Monyash then turn left onto the A515, staying on the main road until you see the Jug & Glass Inn on your right. Here there is a right turn towards Hartington on the B5054. If you come through Youlg rave or Cromford then you will come to a junction next to Newhaven Services; turn right as this junction and carry on up the hill where you will see the left turn for Hartington on the B5054.

From the North

The best route is to come through Buxton and join the A515, we do not recommend taking the A53 towards Leek as you will end up on some country lanes. Continue on the A515 without turning off until you see the Jug & Glass Inn on your right; here there is a right turn towards Hartington on the B5054.
