×We hope you're looking forward to your stay. Please read through the following information and watch the hot tub instruction video before you arrive, see you soon!
Check-in is from 3pm. On arrival please park in the parking bay labelled 'Gaia's Hideaway' towards the bottom of the campsite. Once you see the gate, you'll find the parking bay opposite. Please don't park on a caravan pitch. The key for the yurt will be in the door so help yourself. If you need anything, just pop round to the on-site Reception and we'll be happy to help.
Check-out is at 10am. Please make sure you switch off the lights and you have all your belongings. The key can be left in the door so that the cleaners can gain access straight away. Thank you.
Dogs and pets are more than welcome, but please don't get muddy paw prints on the white bed linen. A charge of £80 will be made if you do. Because of the clay in our soil, mud doesn't wash out of the bed linen and it is very expensive to buy - we like quality here. Please don't use the towels for wiping down wet or dirty doggies, and please try to respect the accommodation as much as you can.
We now have Starlink broadband. On your device please login to Upper Hurst Farm Guests and use the password happycampers. Please let me know of any issues or problems as this is a new service and we may need to fine-tune it.
There is a carbon monoxide detector present in the room that is tested weekly. Keep all the doors of the log burner closed whilst it is in use.
There is a box of kiln dried hardwood supplied for you, as well as a kindling and firelighter bundle. Extra of these items can be purchased at the site Reception.
There are 2 main air inlets: A little lever at the back of the burner. Tilt it towards ‘1’ for more air and towards ‘0’ for less air; and a wheel at the front of the burner, open it for more air. Close it for less air. The more air the fire has, the faster it'll burn. More air is required at the start to get the fire going, but once it's roaring you can turn the air valves right down to save you from burning through your wood too quickly.
Recycling bins can be found in the fenced-off section in the middle of the campsite.
Info on new shower
Inside the yurt, the heating is controlled by a plug-in radiator. This is set to a constant temperature. Use the touch buttons on the front to turn it up if you need, but the log burner is amazing for taking the edge off.
There is a dehumidifier at the side of the kitchen. Please do not switch it off under any circumstances. The dehimidifier prevents moisture from your breath from collecting and condensing at the top of the yurt; switching it off will allow beads of moisture to form and drip down onto you in your sleep. It also stains the inner lining. This is our most important request, thank you for understanding.
There is a vacuum cleaner available on request.
There are blankets available in the wardrobe area.
There are laundry facilities in the kitchen area of the campsite, these are coin-operated.
